 Short Hike and Walking Tours (2-6 Hours)

Experience the magic of Bhutan through its captivating hiking tours. These short hikes, ranging from 2 to 6 hours, will add an interesting experience during your hiking and walking tour. You can choose from the following short hikes:

  • Embark on the iconic Tiger’s Nest Hike, where you’ll ascend to the cliffside monastery perched precariously above the valley.
  • The Zuri Dzong Hike in Paro is a scenic, easy to moderate 1–2-hour walk offering stunning panoramic views of Paro Valley, Rinpung Dzong, airport and Himalaya, starting near the National Museum (Ta Dzong) through pine forests to the historic Zuri Dzong fortress.
  • The Kuensel Phodrang Hike takes us through populated blue pine forests, with the perfect view of Thimphu valley. It was initially intended to be a cycling trail, but it is excellent for hiking as well. The hike will take about 2 hours and through pine forest. This trail is part of the 60th birth anniversary celebration of the fourth king of Bhutan.
  • The Punakha Hike leads you to the historic Punakha Dzong, a magnificent fortress nestled at the confluence of two rivers.
  • The Jiligang Hike in Punakha, is a scenic, relatively gentle trail through pine forests, rice paddies, and villages, leading to the Jiligang Lhakhang (temple0 for great valley views, often starting near the Mo Chhu River suspension bridge and offering a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path experience connecting to other trails like Khamsum Ridge.
  • The Phajoding Hike, a spiritual journey to the sacred monastery perched high in the mountains, overlooking Thimphu. These short hikes offer a glimpse into Bhutan’s natural beauty, cultural treasures, and profound spirituality.
